Charles "Pooh Bear" Griffith Webb, Sr., 78, of 107 Dogwood Drive, Ninety Six, husband of Rebecca Boland Webb, died Thursday, December 28, 2017 at his home.

Born in Saluda, he was a son of the late Earl and Vivian Griffith Webb. Mr. Webb was the founder of Greenwood Tire. He was an avid golfer and sportsman, a former Mason, and he attended Good Hope Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are his sons, Charles "Chip" Griffith Webb, Jr. of the home, Paul Earl Webb of Fountain Inn, and John Bradford Webb of McCormick; sisters, Mary Ann Sartor of Charleston and Catherine Webb of Las Vegas, NV; brother, Jerome "Romie" Webb (Sandra) of Saluda; nephews, Brain Webb (Lindsey) of Evans, GA and best friend and little buddy, Michael Webb of Saluda; and grandchildren, Tyler Webb of Ninety Six, Eli Webb of Clemson, Rebecca Webb and Mia Webb, both of Simpsonville, and Lakyn Webb of Calhoun Falls.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Sammy Webb.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Osborne officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
