Sergeant First Class Charles Arthur Williams, Sr., 75, of 312 Crescent Drive, husband of Jewel Smith Williams, died Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Ninety Six, he was the son of Joe and Susie W. Williams. Charles retired from the U. S. Army as a Mechanic after twenty-three years of service. He was a member of North Greenwood Church of God. Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are a son, Charles A. Williams, Jr. and wife Maria, of Easley; two sister-in-laws, Helen Dorn and Jeanette Farmer, both of Greenwood; four grandchildren, Jason Dilleshaw, Kelly Dilleshaw Jenkins, Chucky Williams and Alicia Williams, all of Greenwood; and seven great grandchildren. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family and was preceded in death by a daughter, Kem Williams. The family is at the home.
