Charles Lee �Catfish Charlie� Worthington, 78, of 875 Relax Street, widower of Doris Worthington, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital, Greenville. Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Joe R. Worthington and Helen Bell Worthington. Charles served in the US Army and was Methodist. Surviving are a son, Ray (Joann) Worthington of Kinards; a daughter, Ashley Peoples of Wilmington, NC; a brother, Joe (Millie) Worthington of Greenwood; special friend, Debbie Gary of Waterloo; former spouse (Ray�s mother), Annette A. West of Newberry and four grandchildren, John and Tanner Worthington, both of Kinards, Christian and Taylor Peoples, both of Wilmington, NC. In addition to his wife (Ashley�s mother), Doris, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Gallaway and three brothers, Gaines, Arthur and Bobby Worthington.
