Charles Arthur �Charlie� Rhoades, 88, of 137 Lawton Street, husband of Elinore Mae Ankerman Rhoades, died Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Hospice House. Born in Wapakoneta, OH, he was a son of the late Glen and Gladys Keiber Rhoades. Charlie was a US Army veteran of World War II and retired as general manager of Phoenix Beauty Supply, in Phoenix, AZ after 32 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post 20; the V.F.W. and Lupo Memorial United Methodist Church, where he served as church treasurer for ten years and also served on the Pastor Parish Relations Committee, the Finance Committee and was a trustee of the church. Surviving is his wife of 66 years and a daughter, Patricia Diane Rhoades, both of the home; and a brother, Gene E. Rhoades of St. Marys, OH. The family is at the home.
