Christine Turner Harvley, 81, of 1110 Marshall Road died Thursday, April 23, 2009, at Wesley Commons. Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Lizzie Beasley Turner. She retired from Greenwood Mills, after 46 years of service and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. Ms. Harvley was a member of Augusta Highway Baptist Church where she was in the Senior Citizen Sunday School Class. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving is a daughter Jackie Browning and her husband Jack, of Greenwood. Pallbearers will be Dr. Carlos Manalich, Jeff Griffin, Kathy Griffin, Steve Fisher, Mark Nixon and Ed Davis. Honorary escort will be Lynn Moss and Linda McManus. The family is at the home of her daughter, Jackie Browning, 1919 Mt. Moriah Road, Greenwood. The family has requested that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to Hospice House, 408 West Alexander Avenue, Greenwood or to First Mount Moriah Baptist Church Building Fund, 2107 Mt. Moriah Road Greenwood, SC 29646.
