Christine Craven Proctor, 90, of Cross Hill, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Magnolia Manor.

Born in Chappells, she was a daughter of the late Martin Luther Craven and Myrtle Craven. Christine was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family above all else. Her loving nature and great faith in the Lord were trademarks of her character. She loved being outside, where she would tend to her garden. Christine was a member of Cross Hill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry Proctor and Barry Proctor; daughter-in-law, Sue Proctor; four sisters, Inez Crowder, Naomi Proctor, Hazel Henderson, and Betty Lassiter; and three brothers, Dean Craven, L.J. Craven, and Edward Craven.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Christine is survived by her daughter, Shirley Davis (Steve); sons, Tim Proctor and Sam Proctor; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday at Cross Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. James Nix officiating.
