Christine King Still, 93, of Greenwood, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023, at NHC of Greenwood.
Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Adger Smythe King, Sr. and Katie Mae Ard King.
Chris was a Greenwood High School graduate and also obtained a Properties Management degree from Piedmont Technical College later in life. She retired from Professional Medical Products and kept busy after retirement by working at Parker Furniture, Harley and Blyth Funeral Homes. Chris was a member at Rice Memorial Baptist Church.
Chris was an avid gardener and excellent cook. Her daily homecooked meals included her homemade buttermilk biscuits with every meal. She was a sweepstakes winner for several years for her famous fresh coconut cake and lemon meringue pie. Chris loved real estate projects and sold several homes for family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents as well as a son, James "Jimmy" Paul Still, Ill; husband, Paul Still Jr.; brothers: Adger King Jr, Palmer King, and Huey King and sisters: Kathleen Enlow and Ruth Staley.
Surviving are her children, Connie Still Rentz (Jerry) of Greenwood and Robert (Bob) Marshall Still of Hodges; grandchildren: Robert Bryan Still, Jordan Barham (Ryan), Stirling Holbrook (Jonathan), Chad Rentz (Tanya) and Tamra Pumpelly (Stuart); seven great-grandchildren; sisters: Lucile Rhodes, Helen Whitlock and Sue Smith all of Greenwood; sister-in-law Clara King of Greenwood; brother-in-law, John Staley of Easley; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Johnnie Waller and her son-in-law, Jerry Rentz officiating. Private burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
