Born in Greenwood, he was the son of Heidi Faulkner Bowen and Mark Andrew Bryan.
Surviving in addition to his mother and stepfather, Roy Bowen, of Greenwood and his father of Augusta, GA, is his sister, Kayla Bowen of Simpsonville.
