Clara Polatty Johnson, 70, of 1280 Denny Highway, Saluda, died Monday, March 12, 2012 at Hospice House, Greenwood. Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Perrine Lanell McCary Polattyand George Nelson Polatty, Sr. She retired from Verizon Wireless and was a member of Mathews United Methodist Church and a former member of Panola United Methodist Church. Surviving are two sons, Christopher Johnson and Brian Johnson, both of California; a brother, Nelson Polatty, Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Ninety Six; nephews, Ken Polatty of Ninety Six and Todd Polatty and his wife, Alla, of Greenwood; a special cousin, Bob Tripp and his wife, Shirley, of Waxhaw, NC; a great niece and great nephew.
