Clara Estherlena Stewart McDonald, 76, resident of Magnolia Manor and formerly of McCormick, died Monday, May 4, 2009 at Hospice House. Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Oscar M. and Ruth Murphy Stewart. She was retired from Greenwood Shirt Company and attended Whitehall Church of God. Surviving are three sons, Stewart McDonald of Greenwood, William McDonald of McCormick and Johnny McDonald of Laurens; three daughters, Jean Martin of Hickory Tavern, Catherine Monroe of Abbeville and Elizabeth Stroupe of Lexington; ten grandchildren, Kayla McDonald, Braeden McDonald, Ray Martin, Terri McHone, Johnny Ray Monroe, Shonna Brooks, Tim Stroupe, Leon Stroupe, Pam Kissiah and Rhonda Hulihee; 19 great grandchildren and a niece, Marie Byrum. She was preceded in death by her sister, Susan Amanda Stewart.
