Clara Scott Sprouse, 84, of 120 Rosemont Drive, widow of Henry Edward �Ed� Sprouse, Jr., died Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at her home. Born in Elbert County, GA, she was a daughter of the late Carl A. Scott, Sr. and Birdie Childs Scott. She retired from Greenwood Mills, Durst Plant, following 42 years of service, where she was a member of the Quarter Century Club. She was a member of Lowell Street United Methodist Church and the Cheerful Workers Sunday School Class. Surviving is a daughter, Patricia Sprouse Coleman of Myrtle Beach; a brother, Henry Lee Scott and wife, Peggy, of Elberton, GA; sister-in-law, Shirley Scott of Elberton, GA; two grandsons, Joshua Southerland and Casey Whatley; three nieces, Martha Key, Rose Allen and Donna Duncan; three nephews, Lamar Scott, Lee Scott and Milton Scott. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Ronald E. Sprouse; her daughter, Beverly Sprouse Whatley and brothers, Robert Terry Scott, Carl A. Scott, Jr. and Joel Miller Scott.
