Clare Allen Kelley, 86, of Greenwood, widower of Shirley Jean Kelley, passed away Friday, August 23, 2024, at his son, Paul's home.

Born in Charlotte, Michigan, he was a son of the late Harvey Kelley Sr. and Velma Anna Tran Kelley. Clare was a U S Navy veteran and Christian. He was a former bus driver for Greenwood County Schools and for the YMCA. Clare enjoyed cedar woodworking making crosses, birdhouses and various other crafts.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Kelley; and his siblings, Shirley, Wanda, Barb and Harvey.

Surviving are his children, Paul Kelley (Kimberly), Scott Allen Kelley (Sandi) and Kathleen Sherman; grandchildren, Raymond Kelley (Christine), Morgan McElroy (Dusty), David Kelley, Hedi Sherman, Heather Sherman, Chris Sherman, Alex Smith and Brandon Lackey; and ten great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Harris Baptist Church with the Rev. Phillip Howle officiating. A private burial will take place in Oakbrook Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday at Harley Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 pm.
