Clifford C. Peeler Jr., 84, the husband of Margie Williams Peeler, of 214 Forest Dr. West, Greenwood, SC, passed away Monday July 4, 2011 at Self Regional Medical Center. He was first married to the late Ouida Wheless Peeler. Born in Jefferson County, GA, he was the son of Clifford Carlton Peeler, Sr. and Lille Smallwood Peeler. Mr. Peeler was employed by Greenwood Mills for 26 years where he was a member of The Quarter Century Club and was retired from Liberty Life. A World War II Army veteran, he was a member of The American Legion Post 20, a member of 40 & 8, and the Greenwood Lions Club. He was also a former member of The Clyde Wise Combo and The Senior Dance Club. Mr. Peeler was a member of Ninety Six Pentecostal Holiness Church. In addition to his wife of the home, he is survived by a son; Ronnie Peeler (Sue) of Greenwood, and a daughter, Jan Tilley (Spencer) of Columbia; 2 step daughters; Sandra Kerhoulas-Moser and Becky Duva Trotter; 8 grandchildren David Peeler, Shannon Peeler, Justin Tilley, Kate Goodwin, Scott Trotter, Jessica Ray, Petie Kerhoulas, Laurie K. Brown; and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers; Ernest Peeler, Clarence Peeler, two sisters; Goldie Barden, and Elsie Powell. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Cliff was an avid Gamecock fan. Go Gamecocks!
