Clifton M. Medlock, Sr., 82, of 416 Panacea Road, husband of Irma Whatley Medlock, died Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Emory University Hospital, Atlanta, GA. Born in Greenwood County, he was a son of the late Edward and Pearl Cannon Medlock. He was retired from Greenwood Mills, Mathews Plant and was a Mason. He loved working in his woodworking shop and playing the drums on Thursday nights with the group that met at C. D. Ouzts� home and with a band that played every Tuesday afternoon at Johnny Barrett�s place. He also enjoyed attending special events and functions at Faith Temple Holiness Church. Surviving is his wife of the home; his son, Clifton Marion Medlock, Jr. and his wife, Debbie Walker Medlock, of Greenwood; a brother, Billy Medlock and his wife, Nancy, of Acushnet, MA; six nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Eloise Williams and a brother, James Medlock. Pallbearers will be Roy Wilbanks, Stan Medlock, Tom Stroud, Joel Whatley, Jeff Ouzts, Rhett McDowell, George Kerhoulas and Daryl Dodgen.
