Clinton "Clint" Luther Clayborn, 87, of Greenwood, husband of Sylvia Marie Mullard Clayborn, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont.
Born on June 24, 1939 in Stearns, KY, he was the son of the late Elam Clayborn and Edna Duncan Clayborn. For 64 remarkable years, Clint was married to his beloved wife, Sylvia. Their enduring union was the cornerstone of his life, serving as a beautiful testament to devotion, partnership, and unconditional love. A devout Christian, Clint lived his life guided by his faith, treating everyone he met with warmth, grace, and an easygoing humor that could instantly brighten any room.
A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Clint served his country with honor, carrying the values of duty and dedication with him throughout his life. His greatest joy was his family. Clint cherished every single moment spent surrounded by his loved ones, and cheering for his beloved Kentucky Wildcats. Bleeding blue through and through.Clint’s generous heart, playful spirit, and steadfast devotion to his family and faith will be forever cherished and deeply missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Clint Clayborn (Steve Corino); grandchildren, Michael Roberts (May) and Shaun Miller (Jamen); and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Michele Reneѐ Anderson.
