Clyde Mack, 89, of Waterloo, widower of Margaret "Maggie" Vaughn Mack, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023 at his home.

Born in Saluda, he was a son of the late Walter Burr Mack and Jennie Salter Mack. He was the superintendent for Able Construction and Associated Contract Services, Inc., where he built many Winn Dixie and Dollar General stores all over the Eastern Coast. Clyde enjoyed spending time in the mountains and going fishing. He was a member of East Side Baptist Church.

He is survived by his children, James Daniel Smith, Sr. and Betty Underwood; numerous brothers and sisters; special niece, Sally Ann Quarles; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Maggie, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Vines.

Inurnment will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at Waterloo Cemetery with the Rev. Randy Ouzts officiating.

The family will be at the home of his grandson, Danny, 364 Old Oak Tree Road, Waterloo, SC 29384.
