Obituary

Clyde Raymond Taylor, Sr., 85, formerly of Cedar Springs Road, Bradley, widower of Margaret Lents Taylor, died Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at NHC of Mauldin.

Born in Ware Shoals, he was a son of the late Grady Lee Long, Sr. and Eula Clayton Long. Clyde was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired from Farmers Furniture and was a member of the Chamber of Commerce. Clyde was a member of First Mt. Moriah Baptist Church where he was a former deacon and Sunday school teacher.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Calhoun; a brother, Grady Lee Long, Jr.; and a grandson, Matthew Taylor.

Surviving are his children: Sandra Jordan (Drake) of Greenville, Marsha Seymore (Don) of Easley, Clyde Taylor, Jr. (Gloria) of Piedmont and Terry Taylor (Karen)of Six Mile; two sisters, Martha Long Sheppard of Sherrillsford, NC and Shirley Ballew (Don) of Fountain Inn; a brother, G. C. Taylor; six grandchildren and eleven
great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday at the older chapel of First Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with the Rev. Bryant Sims and Rev. Travis Bowers officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.

The family will receive friends before the service at the church from 1 to 2 pm.
