Clyde Waites, 81, of 5301 Ninety Six Highway, widower of Dora Sue Werts Waites, died Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Saluda County, he was a son of the late William Witt Waites and Leona Styron Boatwright. He was retired from Southern Brick Company and was a member of Ninety Six Church of God. Surviving are three daughters, Clydie Gable and her husband, Randall, of Greenwood, Wanda Lou Carter and her husband, Jerry, and Rachel W. McKee and her husband, Bennie, all of Ninety Six; a son, Randy Waites and his wife, Sandy, of Ninety Six; two sisters, Ellen Bryant of Hodges and Lou Bussey of Edgefield; nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
