Connie Stamps, 71, of 107 Dorchester Street, husband of Chung Ae Choir Stamps, died Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Hospice House.
Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late William Mack Stamps, Sr. and Dorothy Grey Leamon Stamps. He was retired from Monsanto and served in the US Army. He was a member of Siloam Baptist Church and the Men's Sunday School Class.
Surviving is his wife of the home; brothers, William Mack "Bill" Stamps, Jr. (Sharon Kindle) of Greenwood and Bobby Stamps (Mary) of Abbeville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth "Biddie" Malphrus.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jason Webb and the Rev. Joe Youngblood officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Doug Hastings, Wayne Quarles, Vernon McDowell, Aaron Hastings and Rick Sullivan.
Honorary escort will be members of the Men's Sunday School Class of Siloam Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1 to 2 p.m.
