Stephen Cooper "Coop " Gunnells, 16, of 215 Winding Creek Road, died Friday, November 20, 2015 from injuries received in an automobile accident. Born in Greenville, he was the son of Kathy Santandreu and Stephen Cooper Gunnells, Sr. Coop was a junior at Greenwood High School, where he was a member of the Greenwood High Golden Eagle Regiment Marching Band. He was a member of NewSpring Church. Surviving is his mother of the home; his father of Lexington; grandparents, Juan and Emma Santandreu of Greenwood; sisters, Abigail and Heather of Lexington; aunts, Karem Santandreu of Atlanta, GA and Kim Compton (Randy) of Bamberg and cousins, Bryce Compton and Dalton Compton of Bamberg. Coops grandparents, Harry and Barbara Gunnells of Saluda, also died in the accident. Family members are at their respective homes.
