Daniel Lee Staples, 47, of McDonald, TN, husband of Debbie Hice Staples, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at his home. Born on August 18, 1964 in Charlottesville, VA, he was a son of Elizabeth Ann �Betty� Wheeler Staples and the late John Vance Staples. Dan attended Greenwood schools (Pinecrest Elementary School, Northside Junior High School and Greenwood High School) before moving to Dalton, GA. While in Greenwood, he was a newspaper carrier for The Index-Journal in the Henrietta Heights area. Surviving is his mother of Greenwood; his wife of the home; two sons, Christopher Lee Staples and his wife, Tracy, of Tunnel Hill, GA and William Lee Staples of Cleveland, TN; a daughter, Amber Leann Welch and her husband, Robert, of McDonald, TN; four grandchildren, Ayden Lee Staples, Evan William Staples, Aislyn Hope Welch and Abbie Brianne Welch; two brothers, David T. Staples of Rock Hill and Donald B. Staples of Marietta, GA; his uncle, William H. �Bill� Wheeler and his wife, Gladys, of Sebastian, FL; his aunt, Suzanne Wheeler Mason of Charlottesville, VA; and cousins, John W. Wheeler of East Ridge, TN, James �Ben� Wheeler and his wife, Evette, of Dalton, GA, Jeffrey Havens Wheeler of Rossville, GA, Deborah Mason Holdren and her husband, Michael, of Hampstead, NC, Robin Mason Roeber and her husband, Kenneth, of Midlothian, VA and Robert W. Mason and his wife, Denine, of Scottsville, VA.
