Daniel "Danny" Fleeman, 62, of Hodges, passed away on September 15, 2026, at his home.

Born in Greenwood, SC, he was a son of the late Alton and Helen Sweezy Fleeman.

Danny worked as a Technical Engineer in manufacturing for many years at Eaton and Salvagnini. He was exceptionally mechanically inclined and possessed a rare talent for being able to fix or build absolutely anything. Outside of work, he loved the outdoors and found great joy in hunting and fishing. He was also an avid fan of the South Carolina Gamecocks. Above all else, his favorite role in life was being "Papa" to his grandchildren. He was very proud of each of them, and some of his happiest moments were spent with them, laughing and making memories. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Akins Fleeman; daughters, Danielle Wilford and Amber Hewitt (Mark); son, Kirby Hopkins (Leslie); sister, Lynn Price (Jerry); brothers, Anthony Fleeman and Clay Fleeman; special aunt, Janie Sweezy; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and 9 nieces and nephews. 

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by an uncle, Jimmy Sweezy.
