Lewis Daniel Jones, 79, died Friday, April 12, 2024 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in Winchester, KY, he was a son of the late Lewis H. and Lissie M. Chapman. He was a graduate of Aiken High School, retired from Monsanto after 28 years and had served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Danny was quiet and loving, but had a great sense of humor. He was a passionate SC Gamecock fan and enjoyed golf.

Danny is survived by his wife, Rene Miller, of the home; his children, Douglas Jones, Ryan Jones (Carla), Christian Jones (Olive), Joey Miller (Michelle), Chris Miller (Jennie) and Justin Miller (Sabrina); his sister, Marsue J. Brazell (Benard); a brother, William "Billy" Jones (Kathleen); grandchildren, Zac Jones, Daniel Jones, Jay "J.J." Jones, Aniah Miller, Adrienne Miller, Jonathan Miller, Mikinlee Miller and Tyson Miller; nieces and nephews; father-in-law, Jimmy Tucker and a furbaby, Bentley.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Robert L. Jones and Thomas E. Jones; nephew, William Keith Brazell; mother-in-law, Nancy Tucker and a furbaby, CoCo.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Elmwood Cemetery, Ninety Six, with Mr. Benard Brazell officiating.

The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the service.
