Darin Eugene Norton, 51, of 312 Belle Oaks Drive West, husband of Melanie Clary Norton, died Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Self Regional Healthcare.

Born in Eugene, Oregon, he was a son of the late William E. and Frances Schafer Norton. He was employed by Capsugel, was a member of the Bikers for Christ Motorcycle Ministry, and attended Restoration Ministries.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Todd Norton.

Surviving are his wife of the home; his children, Tabatha Bien (Daniel), Kayce Porterfield (Grady) both of Greenwood, Christopher Rousey (Christy) of Ware Shoals, and Andy Rousey (Alyssa) of Abbeville; three sisters, Sandy Garron (Jack) of Hodges, Donna Knight (Don) of Greenwood, and Christy Norton Heath of North Augusta; two brothers, Wade Norton (Julia) and Robbie Norton (Cindy) both of Greenwood; and nine grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday at First Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with the Revs. Dennis Reynolds and Jay Pruitt officiating. Inurnment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.

Honorary escort will be his Capsugel co-workers.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Friday at Harley Funeral Home and Crematory.
