Darwin B. Schlesing, 82, of 1110 Marshall Road, husband of Dorothy Headrick Schlesing, died Friday, April 2, 2010 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of the late George and Louise Schlesing. Mr. Schlesing received his B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Missouri, retired as the Technical Director of Shedd�s and was a member of the AOCS (American Oil Chemists Society). He served as a Corporal in the US Marine Corps. Mr. Schlesing was a Master Gardener, a member of the Wesley Wood Workers, the Kitchen Band and Main Street United Methodist Church. Surviving is his wife, Dorothy; a daughter, Nancy Stock and her husband, Mark, of Ann Arbor, MI; a son, Bill Schlesing and his wife, Michelle, of The Woodlands, TX; two sisters, Audrey Johanson and her husband, Sam of Fenton, MO and Doris Hartman and her husband, Bill, of Orlando, FL; a brother, Orville Schlesing and his wife, Betty Lou, of St. Louis, MO; loving sister-in-law, Marie Headrick; grandchildren, Erin Schlesing, Elyse Schlesing, Janet Stock and Elliot Stock.
