David Alonso Kelley, Jr., 83, of 220 Georgia Avenue, widower of Louise Voiselle Kelley, died August 9, 2018 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born on September 21, 1934 in Augusta, GA he was a son of the late David Alonso Kelley, Sr. and Roseva Altman Kelley. David retired from Cooper Power and was a founding member of Coronaca Fire Department. He was a member of South Greenwood Pentecostal Holiness Church where he was in the Helping Hands Sunday school class.
Surviving are a son, Wayne Kelley (Cheryl) of Greenwood; two grandchildren, Erin Bannister (Eric) and William Kelley; and a great grandchild, Ethan Kelley.
Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Terry Bailey and Rev. Mac Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be James Sanders, Tommy McCallister, Johnny Williams, Zac Bannister, Nick Bannister, and Stephen Voiselle.
Honorary escort will be Junior Gables, Ronnie Ables, and members of the Coronaca Fire Department.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
