David Ray Knight, 53, of 114 Darlene Drive, Greenwood, died Thursday, April 28, 2016.

Born in Greenwood, he was a son of Jewel Brooks Knight and the late Ralph Knight. David was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Ninety Six. He was an avid musician who played with The Dave and Joe Show.

Surviving are his mother of Ninety Six; former wife, Rebekah Knight of Greenwood; two step sons, Michael Murray (Rebecca) of Greenwood and Derek Jones (Brandi) of Easley; three sisters, Kathy Burdette (Brandon) of Ware Shoals, Rhonda Goldman of Greenwood and Linda Richardson (George) of Ninety Six; a brother, Donnie Knight (Beverly) of Ninety Six; five grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a lifelong friend, Joey Goldman.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday at Harley Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends before the service at the funeral home from 2 to 3 p.m.
