David Jonathan McGaha, 72, of 108 Cedar Court, husband of Naomi Higgins McGaha died Friday, January 22, 2010 at his home. Born on January 1, 1938, he was a son of the late Ollis Paul McGaha, Sr. and Flarra Walker McGaha. David was the former owner of McGaha Plumbing and retired from Mathis Plumbing. He was an US Air Force veteran of Peacetime, a Mason and also a member of North Side Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Kimberly Elaine McGaha, Priscilla Anne Shumate (Furman), all of Greenwood; two sons, Douglas Peeples (Jamie) of Greenwood and Michael David McGaha (Jamie) of Piedmont; two sisters, Josephine McGaha Waldrep (Bill) of Taylors, and Sandra McGaha Rankin (Alvin) of Greenwood and five grandchildren, Jared Mayo, Catherine Peeples, Dean Peeples, Ivey Shumate and Emily Shumate. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ollis Paul McGaha, Jr. and William Donald McGaha and by a sister Miladean McGaha Whitman.
