Obituary
David Jackson Monk, 71, of 113 Orchard Park Drive, Greenwood, SC, died Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Alamance County, NC, he was the son of the late Neal Jackson and Mary Ann Phelps Monk. He received his master's degree in Nursing and Science and was a US Navy Veteran. Mr. Monk was a Shriner, a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the Powhatan Star 124 Lodge (Petersburg, VA), and a member of the National Rifle Association.
Surviving are his sons, David Monk of Virginia Beach, VA and Philip Monk (Karen) of Portsmouth, VA; daughter, Emily Lake (David) of Louisiana; and grandchildren, Isabelle Marie Monk, Stanton Lake, Crosland Lake, and Susanna Lake.
A service will be held at a later date.
The family members are at their respected homes.
