Robert David Walters, 54, of 621 Sandshore Drive, passed away Monday, August 24, 2020 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Arthur Carl and Catherine Banes Walters. He was a Greenwood High School graduate and formerly employed with The Index Journal. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing – just the outdoors in general.

David is survived by his children, Bryan Walters of Chapin, Amber Lyons (Rick) of Greenwood, Meagan Elrod (TJ) of Hodges, and Spencer Walters of Abbeville; brothers, Rick Walters, Bruce Walters, Steven Walters, all of Greenwood, and Timmy Walters (Melody) of Abbeville; and grandchildren, Kennadi McMurtury, Camden, Brayden and Grayson Lyons and Benson Elrod; and his wife, Lorrie Loftis Walters.

He was preceded in death by his aunt, Thelma "Sister" Banes.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Bell officiating. The service will be livestreamed and can be viewed by visiting David's life tribute page at www.harleyfuneralhome.com , where messages can be left for the family.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
