Dawn Michele Tinsley, 52, of Chappells, passed away Friday, March 21, 2025.

Born in Greer, she was a daughter of Samuel Phillip Tinsley and Bobbie Jean Dillard Tinsley. A graduate of Riverside High School Class of 1991, Dawn worked as an Assistant Manager in several well-known retail establishments, including Tractor Supply, Michaels, Lowe's, and Family Dentistry. Her strong work ethic and commitment to excellence were evident in everything she did; she approached each task with unwavering determination, even while battling the debilitating pain of cancer. Dawn was known for her generous spirit and loyalty to her friends and family. She had a remarkable talent for creating beautiful custom cups that brought joy to those around her. An enthusiastic reader, she had a particular fondness for true crime and murder mystery dramas, often sharing her insights with family and friends. Dawn had been baptized at Northwood Baptist Church in Greer, SC, and her faith was a source of strength and guidance throughout her life. A member of Chappells Baptist Church, her passion for music shone brightly as a former choir director where she was loved for her lovely voice. Dawn's family filled her heart with endless joy, and her love for them was a guiding light in her life.

Surviving in addition to her parents are her children, Jacob Edwards (Kayla) Brandon Huff (Allissa Allen) and Samantha Poore (Chase); sister, Gina Ironside; brother, Duane Tinsley (Jan); grandchildren, Grae Edwards, Jaxon Edwards and Presley Poore; and nephews, Hunter Tinsley, Corey Tinsley and Evans Marlar.

Services will be held at 3pm on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Chappells Baptist Church with the Rev. Todd Johnson and Dr. Timothy Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends before the service at the church from 2-3pm.
