Gerold Dean Haston, 74, of 1109 Cornelia Circle, husband of Mary F. Hall Haston, died June 9, 2013, at Self Regional Hospital. Born in Ninety Six, he was the son of the late Gerold Haston and Mary Miller Putnam. He was a graduate of Greenwood High School and Piedmont Technical College. Dean retired from both Professional Medical Products and Abbeville Hospital as Engineering Supervisor. Dean was a member of South Greenwood Pentecostal Church and served in many different positions. Surviving in addition to his wife of the home; a son, Kevin (Esther) Haston, of Greenwood; a daughter, Stacey (Tim) Leopard, of Bradley; three granddaughters, Amy (Michael) Day, Alexexandra Hall Williams, and Madison Brooke Haston; a grandson, Christopher Kevin Haston; three great granddaughters Brianna Haston, of Hendersonville, NC, Kaitlyn and Savannah Haston, of Greenwood; four step grandchildren, Andrew, Erin, Tyler, and Brianna Jay, of Greenwood; a sister, Janice Haston; a step sister, Debbie Cathcart; sister in law Shirley (David) Eddy; a niece, Tina Upton; two great nieces Courtney and Nichole Upton, both of Greenwood. Pallbearers will be John Williams, Rufus Padgett, Ernie Ramsey, Myron Toney, Larry Cason, Ray Brown, Terry Chastain, and Tommy Eddy. Honorary escorts will be the men from The Mens� Bible Class and his neighborhood buddies John Wood, Bobby Burdette, William T. Bailey, and Charles Rickett.
