Obituary

Deborah Leigh Gasikowski, 72, of Ninety Six, wife of Henry "Hank" Gasikowski, passed away Friday, September 15, 2023 at her home.

Born in Kansas City, MO, she was a daughter of the late Virgil Bradshaw and Mary Healey Bradshaw. She was formerly a Real Estate agent/broker with Re-Max Real Estate and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Debbie's life was a testament to her adventurous spirit. She had an insatiable passion for travel, and exploring new places brought her immense joy. Debbie's zest for life was evident in the way she embraced different cultures and experiences. Her wanderlust led her to create cherished memories with her beloved husband of 50 years, Hank. Together, they journeyed hand in hand, creating a lifetime of shared moments and unforgettable adventures.

A woman with a heart of gold, Debbie found solace in extending a helping hand to those in need. Volunteering at a local soup kitchen, she selflessly dedicated her time and efforts to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Debbie's caring nature touched the hearts of many, as she never hesitated to offer assistance to anyone who crossed her path. Her generosity and compassion were truly unparalleled.
Although she never sought the spotlight, Debbie's infectious smile and warm personality lit up every room she entered. Her genuine interest in people and her ability to make others feel seen and valued earned her the love and admiration of all who knew her. Debbie had a remarkable memory for birthdays and anniversaries, ensuring that no milestone went unnoticed. Her thoughtfulness was further displayed through her collection of hand fans, as she took pleasure in finding unique treasures that reflected the individuality of her friends and family.

Beyond her benevolence and vibrant presence, Debbie was a dedicated mother and doting grandmother. She skillfully passed on her knowledge and guided her loved ones with patience and kindness. One of her greatest accomplishments was teaching everyone she cared about how to dive, instilling confidence and independence in their lives.

Debbie will forever be remembered for her unwavering love, her gentle spirit, and her unwavering commitment to those she held dear. As we gather to celebrate her remarkable life, we reflect upon the countless lives she touched and the profound impact she made. Her legacy of selflessness and compassion will continue to inspire us all.
