Dianne Hendrix Eddy, 78, of Ninety Six, widow of Thomas H. Eddy, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont.
Born in Easley, she was the daughter of the late Arthur James, Frances James Hendrix and Lila Hendrix. Dianne found joy in simple pleasures - a good book, the quiet satisfaction of cutting her grass, and the warmth of her church family. A devout Christian, her faith was a guiding force in her life, providing her with strength and comfort throughout her years. She was a faithful member of Ninety Six First Baptist Church where she was in the Ebbie McCarthy Sunday school class.
Surviving are her sons, Thomas H. "Tommy" Eddy, Jr. (Rebecca) of Taylors and Allen Davis Eddy (Patti) of Laurens; three grandchildren, Seth Eddy, Ella Eddy, and Landry Eddy; and cousins, Lisa Ellison, Renee Taylor and Mackey McCall.
Services will be held 2 pm on Thursday at Ninety Six First Baptist Church with the Rev. Chuck Sprouse and Rev. Michael How officiating. Burial will follow at Oakbrook Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Bill Gardner, Jimmy Brock, Houston Matthews, Derrell Lockaby, Rod Johnson and Neal Womack.
Honorary escort will be Stanley Vines, along with the members of the Ebbie McCarthy Sunday school class of Ninety Six First Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends at Harley Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5-7pm.
