Richard W. Killius, 90, a resident of Wesley Commons, Greenwood, South Carolina, passed away on March 11, 2023.
Preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Faith Packard Welling Killius.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Dick was the son of the late Louis and Arlene Waite Killius. Preceded in death by his two brothers, Robert and Bill. A graduate of Rocky River High School and University of Colorado. He earned a bachelor's degree in Business and was an active member of the Sigma Nu fraternity. He served as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force and received an honorable discharge in 1957. Dick had a career of more than 35 years as an investment advisor in Cleveland. He was active in his children's activities and upon retirement in 2002, he and Faith relocated to Savannah Lakes, McCormick, South Carolina where he enjoyed gardening, boating, fishing and family visits. He will be remembered as friendly and kind. He would visit neighbors to give them vegetables grown in his garden.
Dick leaves children; Chip (Merri), Greg and Robbie Curtis (Jim) all in the Cleveland area and granddaughters; Esther in North Carolina, Helen in Kentucky, Elizabeth, Maddie and Anna all away at college.
A memorial service will be held at Wesley Commons, 1110 Marshall Road, Greenwood at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023
