Donald "Don " Lee Walker, 70, of 229 Lakeshore Drive, widower of Betty Taylor Walker, died peacefully Thursday, May 14, 2015 at his home. Born in Oak Ridge, TN, he was a son of the late Prue Lee Walker and Lelia Inez Fuller Walker. Don was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and retired from Solutia. He was an avid Gamecock fan. He was preceded in death by a son, David Gambrell, and by a sister, Gail Weaver. Surviving are a son, Richard Gambrell (Beth) of Six Mile; a daughter, Kim Jablonski of IL; a daughter-in-law, Angie Gambrell of Greenwood; a sister, Judy Stephenson of Greenville; a brother, Wayron Walker (Mary Ann) of Jesup, GA; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. It is respectfully requested that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to Connie Maxwell Childrens Home, PO Box 1178, Greenwood, SC 29648. The family is at the home. '
