Donald Clarence Burnett, 74, of Greenwood, widower of Lana Stapleton Burnett, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont.

Born in Greenwood, he was the son of the late Clarence Burnett and Alice Day Burnett. He retired from South Carolina Department of Transportation in Newberry. Donald was a wonderful cook and loved to go hunting.

He is survived by his children, Donald T. Burnett, Stacy Burnett (Annette), Shannon Burnett (Emily), and Chris Burnett; sisters, Catherine Chapman and Brenda Chapman; grandchildren, Trevor Burnett, Ryan Burnett, Leonidas Burnett, Hailey Burnett, Madison Burnett, Emma Burnett, Barrett Burnett, and Rynlee Burnett; and step grandchildren, Ryne Slack and Reid Slack.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Betty Turner and Ruby Padgett.
