Donnie Allen Parris, 47, of 267 Highway 702, Saluda, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care.

Born in Greenwood, he was a son of Edward "Eddie" Allen and Shelvie Butler Parris. He was a 1989 graduate of Ninety Six High School and received his HVAC and Auto Tech degrees from Piedmont Technical College. He was most recently employed by Fuji Film but spent most of his life as an auto mechanic. Donnie enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and working on classic cars. He was avid animal lover and a member of First Baptist Church Ninety Six.

He is survived by his parents of Ninety Six; his brothers, Matthew Parris (Sarah) of Greenwood and Michael Parris (Nikki) of Ninety Six; two nephews, Cameron and Brody; and a niece Brooklynn.

Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday at First Baptist Church Ninety Six with the Rev. Chuck Sprouse officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Hellams, Bill Voiselle, Steve Canfield, Jeremy Rodgers, Robbie Vaughn, Bobby Agner, Cortez Terry, and Kane Randell.

Honorary escort will be Ninety Six Class of '89 members; past and present members of Rack and Spur and the Whitetail Hunting Club.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Harley Funeral Home and Crematory.
