Donnie Eugene "Feedy " Strickland, Sr., 65, of 162 Robinson Lane Apt. 4, husband of Evelyn Elwood Strickland, died Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Calhoun Falls, he was son of the late Mildred Todd Strickland and Dewitt Strickland, Sr. Feedy retired from West Point Stevens where he was a spinner and was a member of New Spring Church. Surviving are his wife of the home; four children, Sharon Elwood of Hodges, Donnie Strickland, Jr. (Erica) of Due West, Krista Gosnell of Belton, and Jonathan Elwood of Hodges (Papa's Boy); a brother, Dewitt Strickland (Mary) of Calhoun Falls; six grandchildren, Dustin and Bella Strickland and Nehemiah Dandy of Due West, Talea and Jacob Chambers of Hodges, and Haley Burton of Belton. He was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Bearden; and two brothers, Jerry Strickland and Larry Strickland. Pallbearers will be Donnie Strickland, Jr., Jerry Strickland, Greg Bearden, Jason Hilley, Jamie Vaughn and Gary Elwood.
