George Donald "Donnie" Swancey, 68, of 101 Coldwater Drive, Ninety Six, died Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at his home.

Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late George Maxie and Pauline Buchanan Swancey. He worked construction for Fluor Daniels and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by two step-brothers, Don and Gary Womack.

Surviving are his two sons, Keith (Teresa) Swancey, of Ninety Six, and Jason Swancey, of Greenwood; a sister, Edwina (Scott) Hatcher, of Hodges; a brother, Bobby (Nancy) Stone, of Greenwood; two step-sisters, Cindy (Richard) Blodgett, of Greer, and Sonya (John) Sheppard, of Greenwood; three grandchildren, Eli and Dylan Swancey, of Greenwood, and Summer Varner, of Ninety Six; and two great grandchildren, Skylyn and Owen Garner, of Ninety Six.

Services will be held at 3 pm on Saturday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chuck Sprouse officiating. Burial will follow at Oakbrook Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
