Doris T. Wilbanks, 90, of Sterling House, 1408 Parkway, formerly of 3614 Sharon Road, Charlotte, NC, widow of Archie T. Wilbanks, died Sunday, August 14, 2016 at the Hospice House.

Born in Laurens, SC, she was a daughter of the late Columbus T. and Lillie Dale Bishop Tunstall. She graduated from Geyer Business College in Charlotte. Mrs. Wilbanks was a member of Myers Park Baptist Church and an avid tennis player.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Archie T. Chip Wilbanks, Jr.; six siblings, Roy Tunstall, Ruby Diamond, James Tunstall, Virginia Weathers, Ruth Medlock, and Bertha Tunstall; and a sister-in-law, Betty Wilbanks Woods.

Surviving is her brother, Billy A. Tunstall, Sr. (Doris) of Greenwood; her grandsons, Andrew W. Wilbanks of Pearland, TX, and Patrick B. Wilbanks of Fort Collins, CO; a daughter-in-law, Marilyn M. Wilbanks of Fort Mill, SC; sisters-in-law, Elnita Wilbanks Owens, Wyndoland Wilbanks, and Joan Wilbanks Williams; several nieces and nephews, including Lori Anne Tunstall Hagood, who cared for her since moving to Greenwood.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Laurens with the Rev. Phil Thrailkill officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
