Dorothy Stewart Driggers, of Greenwood, widow of Edward Fulmer Driggers, passed away Friday, May 16, 2025, at her home.
Born in Lexington, Dorothy was the second child among thirteen siblings to the late Stanley and Nancy Hilton Stewart. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend and embraced the role of caretaker throughout her life. Dorothy was a devoted homemaker who found joy in raising her children and cherishing her time spent with her grandchildren. Her love for animals, particularly her cats, brought her immense happiness, showcasing her nurturing spirit. She was a member of Callie Self Memorial Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by grandchildren, Chris Driggers and Kathy Leigh Driggers; and several siblings.
Surviving are her children, Jimmy Driggers and his wife Debra, Anne Driggers, Debbie Boyd and Danny Driggers and his wife Lanita; siblings, Shirley Anne Lawson, Jimmy Stewart and Charles Stewart; grandchildren, John Massey, Valerie Driggers, Alisha Driggers, Amy-Lisa Tolbert, Anna Elliott and Abby Cameron; seven great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Services will be held at 2 pm on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ray Massey officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends before the service at the funeral home from 1-2 pm.
