Dorothy Blanchett King, 72, widow of John W. King, Jr., died Sunday, April 7, 2019.
Born in Cedartown, GA, she was a daughter of the late John H. and Elizabeth Henderson Blanchett. She was employed by Quick Copies for more than 20 years and was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.
Surviving are her sons, Tony King, Dwayne King (Tina Turner King), and Kelly King (Amy McCord King) and her daughter, Stacy King Hart (William "Bill" Hart), all of Greenwood; her sisters, Diane Blanchett Shealy (Tony Shealy) of Greenwood and Linda Sloman (Wayne Sloman) of Cedartown, GA; her brother, Mickey Blancett (Judy Blancett) of Edisto Island; sixteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robbie Burton and the Rev. James Boling officiating. Burial will be in Oakbrook Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Jay Gravley, Kody King, Brad Hamlett, Ross Baker, Corey Barnes, Steven Lawson and Carey Blanchett.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:30 – 2 p.m.
The family is at the home of her daughter, Stacy and Bill Hart, 105 Hillcrest Drive.
