Obituary

Dorothy Olive Moseley, 80, known to many as Miss Dotttie, lost her valiant battle with cancer on January 20, 2016 and went to be with her loved ones in Heaven. Born July 23, 1935 in Cheltenham, England to Fred and Violet Ralph Attwood, she was the 4th of their 10 children and was raised by her father and stepmother, Mable Williams Attwood. She met the first love of her life at a dance at Brize Norton AFB in England. They married on September 23, 1955. For the next 20 years, she moved with him and supported him in his Air Force career through the US and Europe. In 1972, he retired and they moved back to his hometown of Greenwood, SC, where they resided together until he passed away from cancer. She has, at different times, been active in The English Wives Club, Burton Center & The Association of Special Needs Citizens, Red Hat Society, Ladies Home Auxiliary, Matthews United Methodist Church and The Salvation Army Church. She was a talented crafter, seamstress and knitter. She enjoyed spending time and traveling with her many friends. She enjoyed working at and making lifelong friends with co-workers and customers at The Golden Eagle Restaurant & Crossroads Cafe that she and her husband Paul ran together, Nantex Industries, Po Folks, Fazolis, Long John Silver and The Salvation Army Thrift Store. She never met a stranger. Those who were blessed to know her loved her warm smile, generous nature, loving attitude and easy going temperment. She was preceded in death by her father; her mother; her stepmother; her brother and sister, Morris & Francis; the two loves of her life, Paul Moseley, Jr. (1982) and Kenneth "Kenny " Palmer (2003) and her son, Dale Frederick Moseley. She is survived by her daughters, Judy Moseley (Maxey Briley), Paula Moseley and Jennifer Costantino; grandsons, Spencer Costantino, Jamie and Alex Moseley; bonus daughters, Cheryl Palmer Carmen (Randy), Angie Palmer Elder, Kathy Palmer Horne (Jimmy); grandchildren, Blake and Patrick Elder, Carmella Palmer, Taylor, Lindsey and Miranda. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice House, 408 W.
