Dorothy Dorsey Stephens, 87, formerly of 214 Hitching Post Road, widow of John C. Stephens, died Thursday, October 14, 2010 at Hospice House. Born in Jackson County, GA, she was a daughter of the late Robert J. and Laura Stephenson Dorsey. She was formerly employed by Greenwood Mills, Mathews Plant and was retired from Graniteville Company. She was a member of New Market Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school and was active in the W.M.U. She was preceded in death by a sister, Nell D. Hartman and two grandsons. Surviving are four children, Shirley Eustace of Walterboro, John C. Stephens Jr. and his wife, Loutricia, Lynn Cockrell and her husband, Norman, all of Greenwood and Pam Jones and her husband, Charles, of Aiken; two sisters, Jean Price and her husband, Talmadge, and Juanita Conner, all of Greenwood; a brother, Robert J. Dorsey and his wife, Shirley, of Nashville, TN; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
