Dorothy Brown Ashley, 86, formerly of 306 Hillcrest Drive and The Bayberry, widow of Edison W. �Ed� Ashley, died Sunday, October 16, 2010 at NHC Health Care Center. Born in McCormick, she was a daughter of the late William Oscar and Pearl Dunlap Brown. She retired from Mauldin Lumber Company after serving as their bookkeeper for 37 years. She was a volunteer with Self Regional Healthcare for ten years, where she received an award for the most hours volunteered, and was also a volunteer for Montgomery Center. She was a member of Woodfields Baptist Church. Surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Reba A. and Jimmie Hall of Greenwood; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Gloria Ashley of Newberry; four grandsons; two great granddaughters and two great grandsons.
