Dorothy Horne Werts, 87, of 5315 Ninety Six Highway, widow of Alvis "Nut " Werts, died Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Hospice House. Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Carson B. and Lorena Johnson Horne. Mrs. Werts was a homemaker and was a member of Siloam Baptist Church. Surviving are four sons, Doug Werts (Sheila), Rickey Werts (Nancy), Bruce Werts (Judy) and Allan Werts (Lee Ann); two brothers, Bailey Horne (Betty) and Roy Horne, all of Ninety Six; ten grandchildren, Gloria Timmerman (Jeff), Bryan Werts (Amanda), Bridgette Still (Tim), Nicholas Werts (Jenny), Andrew Werts, Barbee Ruth Werts, Brent Werts, Jason Werts (Amanda), Jeff Werts (Leslie) and Julie Gardner (Shane) and 14 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Family members are at their respective homes.
