Douglas Harris Owen, 68, of 19 Brooks Drive, Ormond Beach, FL, husband of Patricia Minnick Owen, died Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Florida Memorial Medical Center. Born in Union County he was the son of the late Journey Harris Owen and Mattie Stroud Owen. Douglas was a U. S. Army veteran and was a machinist with Bosche. He was a member of Ninety Six Church of God. He loved fast cars, riding motorcycles and was a Harley Davidson enthusiast. Douglas loved his wife, Patricia, with all his heart and even more than his Chihuahua, Peaches. He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Bruce Owen. Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are his children, Gerry Todd Owen of Spartanburg, Michael Jeffery Owen of Laurens and Brian Edward Owen and his wife, Kathy Gilmer Owen of Myrtle Beach; stepchildren, Lori Kaye Moore and her husband, Sam of Summerville and Mark L. Hancock, Jr. and his wife, Rachel of Hobe Sound, Fl; grandchildren, Bradly Michael Owen, Geffery Tanner Owen, Brandon Roger Owen, Hunter Blake Owen, Gerry Todd Owen, Jr. and Journey Wynter Owen; and step grandchildren, Jakob Moore, Aiden Moore, Camden Moore, Loretta Moore, Noah Lee Hancock and Miles Louis Hancock.
