Rev. Ephraim Alexander "E.A. " Cooper, Jr., 85, husband of Carolyn Youngblood Cooper, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, December 31, 2015, at Hospice House. Born in Pickens, he was the son of the late Ephraim A. Cooper Sr. and Carrie Hudson Cooper. E.A. was a U. S. Army veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a minister at East Side Baptist Church where he was the founder of East Side Christian School. E.A. was a former pastor at Glassy Mt. Baptist Church in Pickens and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are a son, Skeets R. Cooper (Judy) of Pickens; a daughter, Jacqueline Cooper Young (Kenneth) of Yukon, OK; four sisters, Lydia Stewart of Eastover, Lucille Morgan of Greenville, Ester Phillips of Easley and Margaret Burns of Pickens; five grandchildren, Lori Hansen, Christy Todd, Kimberley Seitman, Andrew Young and Kara Young; and seven great grandchildren, Cameron Hansen, Cooper Hansen, Carlie Hansen, Hunter Todd, Fisher Todd, Sawyer Todd and Teagan Seitman. Pallbearers will be Scott Hansen, Cameron Hansen, Hunter Todd, Andrew Young, Chip Sellew and David Davis. Honorary escort will be David Hallman along with the Mens Bible Class of Calvary and East Side Baptist Church and ministers of area churches.
