Earl Jefferson �Heartbeat� Lewis, 62, of 391 Greenfield Road, McCormick, husband of Brenda Edmunds Lewis, died Sunday, March 13, 2011, at Self Regional Health Care. Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Vernon C. Lewis and Mattie Johnson Morse. He was the owner of Edmunds Supermarket and was formerly employed by Anderson Construction Company. Surviving is his wife of the home; a daughter, Karen Lewis of Greenwood; two stepdaughters, Roxanne Hutto of North Augusta and Tonya Miller and her husband, Acy, of Augusta, GA; four brothers, Vernon Lewis, Johnnie Lewis, Mike Lewis and Keith Lewis, and his stepmother, Helen Lewis, all of Greenwood; six grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Brock, Dupree Lewis, Glenn Hill, Darrell Noffz, Mickey Goff and Jeff Howard. Memorials may be made to Buffalo Baptist Church, PO Box 345, McCormick, SC 29835.
